CH28 CH29 CH30 CH31 CH32 CH33 CH34 CH35

Arkoptics provides 8CH DWDM C28~C35 multiplexer dual fiber solution with monitoring, capacity expansion port and 1310nm wavelength applications. This solution features with ultra low channel loss 2.8dB max and link loss 3.5dB max. Mux / Demux can be used in conjunction with multi-service transmission (such as EDFA, DCM, OEO, etc.) to increase network capacity and at the same time improve the manageability and interconnectivity of WDM networks. It also improves management efficiency while saving cabinet space.

Standardized and customized

DWDM 1U chassis contains COM port, channel port, and other functional ports like MON monitoring port, UPG upgrade port, 1310nm, 1550nm, 1650nm port can be added or customized according to specific applications. Also there will have clear Tx and Rx indication for easy patching, customer logo is also available.

Super clean fiber end face

We all know the importance of a clean fiber end face, that is why we inspect and clean the fiber port one by one 100% to ensure the cleanness of the fiber end face, especially after we assemble the Mux and Demux in the chassis or slot cassette. When customers receive our multiplexers, they don’t have to do the cleaning work again but just put them on the cabinets.

Simple connection

The port on the front panel of the device is usually a front-mounted duplex LC adapter. When connecting with an optical fiber jumper, you only need to connect the "B" pin of the jumper connector to the "B" socket of the adapter. Other types of connectors and adaptors are available as well, such as SC UPC, SC APC , E2000, and so on.

Easy to install

The "ears" on both sides can adjust the installation depth freely, and this is the outstanding feature of our chassis. It can be installed in either a 19-inch rack or a 23-inch rack.

Excellent chassis materials

The 8 channel DWDM 1U measure products provided by Arkoptics have a high level of protection. The chassis body is made of SPCC cold-rolled steel, which is strong and pressure-resistant, and the surface is painted with 0.2mm paint, which is anti-rust and wear-resistant.

1310nm Port - For legacy 1310nm network traffic

This port enables optical transceivers, especially the DWDM SFP/SFP+ transceiver to support long runs transmission. It’s wide for 1G/10G/40G/100G. Using this port can overlay 1310nm wavelengths onto existing WDM networks by connecting with the same wavelength optical transceivers. Its pass bandwidth is 1260nm to 1360nm, with max 1.0dB attenuation loss.

Dense Wavelength Division Multiplexing concept

Expansion Port - For Future Bandwidth Increasing

Expansion port makes it possible to increase the network capacity by connecting it to the line port of another DWDM MUX/DEMUX supporting different wavelengths, without the need of installing or leasing additional fibers.

FAQ

Q: There are 3 data centers: Center A、Center B、Center D 2.- The final distance between the centers is as follows: - Distance between A and B is 9,197m of a single G652A single-mode fiber - Distance between A and D is 23,439m of a single G652A single-mode fiber. 3.- The scenario to be deployed would be the following: - 8-Port MUX-DEMUX over a single Fiber between centers A and B - 8-Port MUX-DEMUX over a single Fiber between centers A and D - The MUX-DEMUX must be connected to HP / Aruba 5406Rzl2 switches, so we need all the GBICS needed for this setup. - Note that the customer wants 2 MUX-DEMUX in Center A, as shown in the diagram. The only thing to keep in mind is that the MUX-DEMUX are connected directly to the HP / Aruba switches and not to the Cluster that had been defined in this scheme. I am waiting for your news and any question you want to ask, if you give me an outline and a budget, we will proceed with the order as soon as possible.

A: Regarding your requirements, Arkoptics will have professional technical engineer who can provide tailored solutions for you. Please email for detail solutions.

Q: Does this MUX need a chassis?

A: It can be used standalone or matched with Arkoptics 2-Slot 1U 19” Rack Chassis.

Q:If we buy arkoptics 8 channel dwdm mux demux, can we later expand it to more channels? Like chaining two 8-channel MUXs making it 16 channel on each side?

A: Yes, you can use EXP port to expand more wavelengths within C21-C52.

Q: Can I customize a special port of 1550nm for this 8CH DWDM Mux Demux?

A: No, since the wavelength of this 8CH DWDM Mux Demux is 1520-1570nm, and the channel bandwidth of the special port of 1550nm is ±50nm, which is in conflict with the wavelength of DWDM Mux Demux. If a special port of 1550nm is added, the link will not work normally.

Q: Hello, For this dual fiber 8 channel DWDM muxes, please help me. What will be the channel for the side B , if I choose on the side A the channel C53 for example.. C53 Side A, Side B ??? C54 Side A, Side B ??? xx xx xx And so on....

A: For dual fiber DWDM, the same wavelength is used for both the transmit and receive directions. So if you choose the channel C53 on the side A, the side B should also choose C53.

Q: Hi, We are looking at arkoptics 8 ch Mux/demux. Are attenuators required on both ends?

A: No, for the CWDM MUX DEMUX, the effect is the same for adding attenuators on both ends or any one end. Because the attenuator is mainly used to adjust the Rx Power of the transceiver, preventing excessive power from affecting the life of the transceiver. But for the DWDM MUX DEMUX, since the DWDM solution is complex, please kindly provide more detailed link information to shawn@arkoptics.com, Arkoptics technical team will further check for you.

Q: Can we run a 40GBASE-ER4 signal into that 1310nm special port? Because ER4 uses four wavelengths: 1271, 1291, 1311 and 1331 nm. Those wavelengths don't clash with anything else in the mux, but I'm curious as to whether they can pass through the filter on the 1310 port.

A: Yes, you can run a 40GBASE-ER4 signal into the 1310nm port, because the 1310nm Port Pass Band Width is 1260nm~1360nm.

Q: I saw the connecter of arkoptics 8ch dwdm multiplexer is LC/UPC, can you offer the LC/APC?

A: Absolutely, Arkoptics can customize the LC/APC for you, please email us for custom solutions.

Q: We currently have our site connected using BiDi SFP+ 1330/1270 and 1270/1330 (part number SFP-10G-BX). We may need to add channels for additional equipment. What are the correct ports that needs to be on the MUX/DEMUX unit to allow for the existing SFP-10G-BX connections?

A: 1310nm port can be used for BIDI SFP+ connections

Q: On the arkoptics 8ch dwdm muxes. if I use the 1310 port for OTDR, Would the transceivers get damage due to the power out of the OTDR?

A: No, the transceivers won't get damage if the power down of OTDR, but we suggest it would be better to pull out OTDR before power off.
